Finite Simple Group (of Order Two) by the Klein Four Group, a very talented group of mathematicians including my friend Scott Bailey, is a funny mathematical love song that is special to me as I sang this song to my wife for my marriage proposal. In the lyrics to the song, it states that “but lately our relation’s not so well-defined, and I just can’t function without you.” “relation”, “well-defined” and “function” are important concepts in algebra, but also have a clear meaning in real-life. Mathematicians, contrary to popular belief, can be funny and interesting.

Connecting with peers and professors has allowed me to not only learn from but also contribute to a community dedicated to academic progress and mathematical achievement. Also, involvement in my chapter has availed me opportunities to take on leadership positions, like Chapter Secretary, Vice President, and President, each of which honed my leadership skills. Organizing chapter events and meetings, participating in a community service event on campus, attending mathematics competition training sessions, and helping with recruitment efforts are just a few highlights from my chapter involvement.…

Hi Peeps, Today's Quote "Math is the Music language of Love only given by God in which your heart beats until it stops, along with your breath of life and cellular movement, purpose, and functions, that regulates your love, thoughts and good deeds for God throughout your lifetime." ~ Jon Barnes Many Many choose not to regulate their love, thoughts, and good deeds for God, because of their lust of the flesh, evil, and wicked ways of fake happiness and empty dreams. Living your dreams of slave labor and corruption is not the same and learning, understanding, planning, and executing God's vision and purpose for your life. You must consistently ask God for constant guidance and direction of love to hit your personal targets and goals. Otherwise,…

A lot has been said about how math has its practical uses. But what really stands out to me was when me and my wife were talking about our long term financial goals with our financial advisor. At that time, our advisor is throwing out acronyms and jargons at us that we have no idea what they are about. Terms like Traditional IRA, ROTH IRA, VUL, 401k, College Plan 529 baffled us. But once he slowly defined those technical mumbo jumbo and said the words “compound interest”, that is when I feel grateful towards my high school math teacher.…

As a whole, my experience with mathematics has been a positive one. However, I came to this assumption largely based upon the good grades that I received and the positive feelings that came from seeing those good grades. I think the real reason I like math is because there is a right answer and you can always find out whether or not you reached that correct answer. I was affirmed time and time again for having reached correct answers. However, how deep of an understanding did I have of why the methods I used gave me the correct answers?…
