Purpose: What does crime mean? According to Merriam Webster dictionary crime means an illegal act for which the government can punish someone, for example, killing someone or being a thief.

There are many types of crimes such as personal crimes, property crimes, inchoate crimes, and Statutory Crimes. The firs type is the personal crimes. Personal crimes mean crimes that cause physical pain to others. Slide # & Title:
Narration: There are many examples of personal crimes, including Assault, Rape, kidnapping, and homicide, which mean killing others.

Narration: The second type of crimes is called property crimes, and it means taking other people’s rights and properties without meaning to harm them. Property crimes could be Robbery, Burglary, Forgery, and receipt of stolen goods.
