In the quote above from lines 40-44 in Scene 5 of Act 1, Lady Macbeth is making herself ready to be ruthless like a man. She wants to be the male, aggressive and in charge. “Unsex me here” is Lady Macbeth asking for female qualities to go away. She wants to be filled with cruelty and wants her blood to be made thick. Duncan is murdered by Macbeth but no one knows but him and Lady Macbeth. When Macbeth says, “When we have marked with blood those sleepy two of his own chamber, and used their very daggers, That they have done ‘t?” (lines 75-77 Act 1 Scene 7),because the two servants were already drunk Macbeth and Lady Macbeth were going to frame them. Once they covered the two servants and daggers with blood that it would be as if they killed so people would believe that the servants killed Duncan instead Macbeth.
The blood uncover Macbeth’s feelings about murder. The blood symbol showed the fear of Macbeth before he kills Duncan. Macbeth was hallucinating. He thought there was a dagger floating in front of him, guiding him towards Duncan’s room. (Lines 44-49 Act 2 Scene 1) “Mine eyes are made the fools o’ th’ other senses, Or else worth all the rest.
