Benjamin Franklin once said "He that cannot obey cannot command." By this, he meant that a good leader should first learn how to follow orders in order to be successful. Perhaps this is how we decide whether or not a person is a good leader, by assessing his or her ability to obey commands. Or maybe it depends on how we define the word "leader." Either way, some people believe that Franklin's quote holds true, but I disagree. I believe that a truly great leader is someone who questions authority and takes the risk of going down a different path, even when everyone else says not to. For example, Martin Luther, a Catholic priest, disobeyed the church and became the leader of the greatest religious movement of all time, the Protestant Reformation.
