Being thin, I never thought that I can win a fight with anyone. Until a gangster taught me this, “You are thin so don’t engaged in a fist fight. Use anything that you can get hold of and turn into a weapon. Because no matter how big they are you can still hurt them with it.” He taught me further, “Always wear a belt; it can be turned into a weapon for protection.” I still wear a belt today but only to hold my pants up. In the light of this incident, let me share my deepest demon with you. I have a violent inclination in me when provoke beyond my threshold of tolerance. I can fly into a rage that I cannot manage and I believe there are people like me out there. Fortunately over the years I have taught myself to manage my fiery temper and increase my threshold of tolerance. …show more content…
I was a victim of bully by an individual who was spreading rumours and disparaging remarks about me in the insurance circle. The rumours and remarks of me were that I was a crook in a professional disguise. And that I am a leopard who will never change its spots and a loser who will amount to nothing and remain a failure in life. Actually I wanted to let it slide because there were some truths in them; I was a crook and a loser in my past. But those rumours and remarks got louder and more widespread showing intent to hurt and humiliate. And because it got more widespread I got to know who that perpetrator was. Eventually I confronted that person and gave him an ultimatum. That he either stops or if he wants to continue spreading it then he must fight me for the right to continue, that is, if he wins the fight. That fight did not take place but the corporate verbal bullying
