Being Hispanic means a lot to me because it has definitely played a major role in the man I am growing up to be. The level of humbleness shown throughout my family has really taught me to respect anyone no matter what background they came from. Growing, I was very open to having different kinds of friends especially during high-school. During that period of my education, I came to find that there are a lot of judgmental individuals who tend to pick out the worst in people without getting to know them. As a Hispanic, I knew that I had to give everyone a chance and welcome them with open arms. Whether they were rich or poor, I treated them no differently. What I am mostly grateful for, is being fluent in both English and Spanish. That alone has
