What Does Being Bilingual Mean

Language is a means of communication where individuals are able to interact. By being bilingual I am able to interact with different people and their cultures. One of the perks of being bilingual is being able to learn a new lifestyle, culture, through language. Language creates a connection of similarities, yet when communication is not possible there is no connection. In such a case where two individual are unable to communicate, I being bilingual come into play. By being fluent in both languages I am able to become a median in which to individuals discuss through my translation. One could say I am the symbolic representation of a bridge, where I am able to be the entermidiemts communicator between two individuals.
