Being an American means to have freedom. There are a few ways to explain this freedom. The first example is freedom of speech. Second is freedom of religion. Lastly, is the freedom of press. Having freedom are what is means to be an American.
Imagine being prosecuted only because you said something that someone disliked. In the image”Opinions on Freedom of speech”,it clearly shows that America is a free speech zone which explains what it is to be a free american. Freedom of speech is important for this reason. It also allows a person to talk about anyone or anything they want however they want.
