What Does Basketball Mean To Me

In my culture family discipline is basketball are the top 2 enforced in my culture. I remember when I was little (7 years old) that I walked into a store and I stole a CD. when I got to the car I showed my mom I was excited but she was disappointed , she made me return it and said “ I was a criminal” she punished me and told me every day that what I did was bad and thanks to her I learned not to steal any more from that day on.

I grew up in a family that makes soccer a big part of their lives it represents them. Everyone in my family became in love with the sport and began to play from a young age, but I didn't enjoy it as much as they did, which made me different from the rest or "weird" making me distant from my culture.
