Having an aging society in the United States has a big impact in my life as adult. On one side it makes me think that I have more chances to live longer, but it does not necessarily means that I will be in a good health state. What it matters to me is to be healthy in case that I live more years because I wouldn't like to live longer if I will be sick. On the other side, it makes me think of the positive and negative effects that brings as a consequence. An aging society affects my retirement, and it affects the concept of family, economy, government, and education. I, as a worker, contribute to the pension of the retired people. Having an aging society means that there will not be enough young generations to take care of me at home when I get older. It is even worse because for instance, my older brother does not have children and since I am younger than him, I will take care of him when he needs it, but who will take care of me if I do not have children or younger brothers. If I go to live to a facility, the expenditure to pay for it will be a burden for my family.
