“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1. This verse describes what it is like to be an American. We are free in God. He was the one who helped gain our freedom. We founded our country for him and that is why we are free. God wants us to stand strong and not fall into the hands of another country. That is the verse that I stand on as an American. That is why on the dollar bills it says in “God We Trust”.
The founding Fathers that created this country are courageous men. There are many many founding fathers such as… John Adams, John Hancock, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and Thomas Paine. These men are only a few though. The work and sacrifices they gave were so amazing. They are each known for something like George Washington is known for being the first president of the united states and general of the American army in the Revolutionary War. Liberty is the state of being free within a country or society,or maybe a town from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life behavior or political views. Imagine not being able to vote for which president you want it being chosen for you. Or imagine that you are assigned to a state or town to live in. That is not what our country is based off of. We do not live under a communist government but a democracy. And I am personally very thankful for our Democracy of America.
