Academic Decorum Explained Academic Decorum, what does it mean to you? To me it means to respect others learning environment. Everyone sees it differently, some say it's a standard of behavior. Some behaviors that don't represent academic decorum are interrupting, being a distraction, and breaking rules. Some behaviors I can do to show academic decorum are be organized, respect your home lives, and answer emails as soon as possible.
