A. What do Trait theorists think is the basis for personality?
Trait theories focuses on traits, responses based on characteristics, and broad ideas of personality. With this theory we describe individuals based on the way they behave. Trait theorists believe that traits are the structure of personality. Gordon Allport claims that everyone’s distinctive traits and their ability to adapt to the world can define personality. The lexical approach explains that if a certain trait is crucial to an individual then it will be used in their normal language to talk about another person.
