What Did Abraham Lincoln The American Dream

Abraham accomplished his number one thing he wanted with hard work. Abraham didn't want slavery or to be spread. He was involved in Civil War. He is self taught which makes it amazing how he accomplish to be a president. Want to know more about him in the Abraham Lincoln?
Abraham was born on February 12, 1809. Father is Thomas Lincoln. Mother Nancy Hanks, died when Lincoln was a young boy. Shortly, after Thomas married Sarah Johnston. She was supportive in Lincoln’s education . Lincoln was self-taught . Taught himself to read and write. Lincoln's family moved many times, from Kentucky to Illinois. When Lincoln was 21 he got a job. He gave most of his Loans to his father. He goes back to work after he gives loans to father. He will no longer live With his father. Thomas is lazy and rude to Lincoln, because he would make Lincoln do all the work while he does other. In his town, he was very popular because he was self-taught to read and write, which no one in that town knew how to read or write. Since he was so “smart” he got chosen captain in the Black Hawk war. Later becomes lawyer .This is where his journey all begins. …show more content…
Abraham did not like slavery he lived in the north. The north and south were like two different countries.The south wanted there to be slavery. in the north and not the north was on his side. He did not want slavery to spread in U.S.A . Lincoln was elected president in 1860. He had most support from the north, which had a lot of votes. he turned out to be president 186. Lincoln was involved in the Civil War which he declared was happening at the time . during the Civil War he signed for all the slaves to be free. later still during the civil war. He got assassinated on May ,9 1865 is when the war ended. Abraham most be missed by
