“Heroes are made by the paths they choose, not the powers they are graced with”
(Brodi Ashton). We determine our fates on how we live, from the paths we walk and doors we open. Once in awhile a person would endure their fears to overcome them, and they gain confidence that they can do anything if they set to it. Through their efforts they affect a great number of people, and they do this without any superpowers at all.
Powers are nice to have either way but we haven’t discovered a way to grasp them. Life is a guessing game, we don’t know what will happen so we just hope for the best. Most of the time we don’t get what we want and we have to face our fears but in the end it makes us stronger. A Hero goes through the exact same thing, guessing what’s behind every door and wondering what’s around the next corner. Consider Dan Daly he was a famous U.S. Marine Sergeant. One of his heroic acts was in WWI, Daly went alone into a German machine gun nest with 15 Germans in it and managed to come out alive. His fear turned to rushing adrenaline and he managed to come out a Hero and conquer his fears in the brave act. He gave a great speech that changed our way of thinking. Going back you see that he had started off as a small voice in a huge nation but slowly he built up to the top where his voice was listened to and he was respected highly. To cover a wider variety of perspectives consider Batman, he too started off with a small voice and his parents had just died. But he ended up a superhero saving the world and fighting crime.
