1. Explain what “proctoring” means and why the UoPeople requires proctored exams.
A proctored exam is an exam that is overseen by a trustworthy adult that does not have any vested interest in whether the student passes or fails. It is a way of testing to insure fairness and credibility. The reason the UoPeople requires it is because UoPeople is an online institution. In Contrast, a brick and mortar school does not necessarily require students to find their own proctors because the professors would be handling student exams, thus, this is a way for the UofPeople to test the student, secure fairness and do so all over the world. There are documented guidelines that outline what the UoPeople will recognize as a “proctor” and these guidelines can be found the student portal. 2. The Crucible The most admirable in the play is John Proctor, a local farmer and husband of Elizabeth Proctor. The reason I believed he’s admirable because he took the time to investigate the situation, and did not just take other people’s word for it. He had a lot to lose, it was his wife also being accused. The message Miller portrayed through this character is courage to tell the truth, and stand for what is right and just. John Proctor had an affair with Abigail, and even though that was a sin, he understood that witchcraft was a different offense to God.…
