During that time, there were lots of challenges the American people had to face including the Spanish- American War, WWI, The Great Depression, Intolerance, and WWII. The American people responded to challenges inside and outside the US by trying to solve those challenges and learning from them.

The Great Depression was a time where everyone was in some sort of dept and no one could recover from it and this was the time when they first introduced credit which was the main cause of the Great depression.Repatriation During the Great Depression(not stated, 1932). After credit was introduced this stopped payment of certain goods and people racked up a debt they can't repay which ruined the economy. Also during this time WWII, was approaching during the Great Depression. After WWII the saving of the people and the buying of recreational goods fixed the economy and ended the Great Depression.
The American people responded to challenges in and outside of the US by solving and learning from their mistakes and creating ways to prevent these mistakes from happening again. After experiencing the hardships of The Great Depression, The Spanish American War, and WWI America always found a solution to that problem and learned to not make the same mistake. America's past decisions help make decisions for the future and that's how they responded to challenges inside and out of the US.
