The focal point of this argument centers around whether or not a woman’s right to choose is more important than the right to life of a baby. There are two types of abortions: spontaneous abortions and induced abortions. A spontaneous abortion is the same thing as having a miscarriage, which occurs naturally and most of the time against the woman’s will. An induced abortion is an abortion that the patient asks for in order to prevent the birth of their child. The term “abortion” generally refers to an induced abortion, unless otherwise stated. They decided that they were going to make abortion legal by saying that the Constitution does not include the unborn when referencing a person. However, most state governments individually have created laws regulating abortions. A majority of states require women to go through counseling before having an abortion. Some states require the women to hear and view the baby’s ultrasound and see the heartbeat of their baby. Most places in the United States legally require some form of parental consent before a minor can have an abortion. Those that support abortion claim that these laws that supposedly regulate abortions are really just trying to coerce women out of having an abortion. There is an ongoing debate over moral issues regarding the topic of abortion. On one side, pro-life advocates argue that abortion should be illegal, because it is murder. On the other side, pro-choice advocates argue that the mothers have a right to choose. They claim that this choice is a legally protected right. Some state legislations tried to limit the ways that a mother could have an abortion. Soon after, protests came about on both sides of the argument regarding the legalization of abortion. Even if a mother decides to keep her child instead of giving the baby up for adoption, there are other options that are available to her in order to provide proper care for the child. Women can go to a crisis pregnancy center and receive advice and information regarding the possibility of putting their baby up for adoption. Adoption is a great alternative to abortion. Many couples are unable to have children and look into adoption to provide children for them. Typically, after babies are adopted, they experience a much higher quality of life. A common argument for people who argue that abortion should not be legal is that they think abortion is a murder. Although there are laws about when women are able to do an abortion, some people still think it is a murder if they do an abortion early in the pregnancy since they refer to it as a life. In addition, the people who think that abortion should be illegal say that the unborn babies are human and have a right to life, and when pregnant women make an abortion they take away the right to life for the baby. Another argument that is used by the people who are against abortion is how it is morally wrong to do an abortion, it is similar to the previous arguments since the people who are against abortion think that it is morally wrong to not give birth to a child that a woman is pregnant with and not give it a life that it has the right to. Although there are many arguments about how abortion should not be legal, there are also arguments about why abortion should be legal.…
