Throughout your life, you may have come across the term narcissistic personality disorder a few times, be it in school or at work. So what does narcissistic personality disorder mean? In fact, as its name suggests, it is a kind of personality disability. Patients who are diagnosed with such illness tend to have difficulty in establishing bonds with friends or even colleagues. This is a totally opposite explanation to the first theory. Children who are often neglected, scolded and punished by their parents tend to develop a self-centered personality to protect their own selves. Since there is no one who really cares about himself, the kid has to do the job by himself, which leads him to develop egoistic character overtime.
Genetics could be another possible narcissistic personality disorder cause. Genetic traits in the kid may cause him to suffer from narcissism overtime, which affects his brain development, thinking, behavior and ultimately his action towards himself and others.
All in all, scientists and doctors are still trying to find out what is the actual cause of such personality disability. Perhaps over a matured time, the answer will
