In the previous year, the enforcement of gun laws at K-12 schools, colleges, and universities has been a question of concern for the safety of students and educators. However, George Mason University is in the richest county in America, which contains an extremely low crime rate. It is important to realize, that George Mason University is in a positive environment, so should no crime occur on campus? Withal, there has been several incidents that have occurred on campus, but they did not pose a genuine threat. Of course, the bomb threat and many other incidents could have escalated, but the incidents did not due to the practices that has been enforced to prevent situations from occurring.
