What Are The Stereotypes In Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde is an American comedy film directed by Robert Luketic1. This movie is about a girl named Elle Woods. Elle is an attractive blonde, apparently dumb girl, who only think of cosmetics, fashion and grooming, and whose only goal seems to be thriving is to marry her boyfriend Warner Huntington. But her boyfriend wants to enter into politics and thinks that a wife like Elle represent an obstacle in his career, so he decides to break up with her before joining the prestigious career of law at Harvard University. Elle, eager to regain her boyfriend, decides to enroll as well at Harvard University. Already at Harvard, however, Elle realizes that is not what she expected because everything was different from what she was used to but she decided to challenge herself and get used to a new lifestyle because she wants to demonstrate to her ex-boyfriend that she is better than what he thinks she is. In addition, with the uses of her latent intelligence and deft sense of fashion, Elle became a successful laws student and a more mature young adult, demonstrating to her ex-boyfriend and everyone around her who stereotype her because of her appearance that she is not a dumb blonde girl who only think of cosmetics, fashion and grooming.

Elle was judge and stereotype because of her femininity appearance and audience and the people around her nicknames her as a “dumb blond girl.” However, when she is passionate about studying law she showed her hidden intelligence and became one of the most successful students at Harvard what surprised her ex-boyfriend as well the audience to not discriminate or talk about someone without knowing
