Roald Dahl and Edgar Allen Poe are very talented writers. They both write fictional stories. They are alike in some ways and very different in others. Roald Dahl is humorous in his writing, but in the story the landlady he brings something else to the table. Edgar Allen Poe stories are filled with suspense and darkness. He mostly writes scary stories. His life has affected his writing style very much. Roald Dahl has written many books filled with humor and twists. He writes some of his books based on his family. He writes short stories, novels, and poems. He has also written many movies based off of his books. He mainly made books for children. He is a british writer, the only one of his stories with a horror tone to it is the landlady. When Roald Dahl was four years old his father died. He is best known for his poetry and short stories, also for his stories of mystery and macabre. He is an american writer, his stories are mostly filled with horror and suspense. Both his mother and father were professional actors. His dad ran out on his family when he was a baby. His mother died before he was three years old. He was raised as a foster child in Richmond Virginia. His step father treated him horribly. After refusing to pay his step father's gambling debts he was kicked out of school. He moved to boston and enlisted into the army in 1827. He published his first poems. He was kicked out of the army due to financial problems. He had a lifelong struggle with alcohol and depression. He died when he was forty. Current theories think that he died of a brain
