“I Love Lucy” and “Andy Griffin” shows are similar in so many ways. There also have many differences as well. The shows in the 1950 and 1960 are very entertaining compared to today’s television. Today is based on reality television that includes drama, fighting, and the fact that it is their real life. All the shows that is not reality television seems just as real. Andy and Barney are so very close to one another. They are both sheriffs and they often in the situation when someone needs to be saved. Barney is like an uncle to Opie which is Andy son. Barney is often the one who continue to do silly things. He consistently over thinks certain situations instead of staying calm. The situations they pursue are on a more personal level. They try to help family, friends, and even themselves when trouble occurs during an expected time. They are both kind hearted and will attempt to solve any issue. This show mostly is about helping people. There are quite sympathetic to one another and the people of their city. They people of the city need them like in the episode of The Pickle Story. They felt it was necessary to be sympathetic to Aunt Bae feelings. In Ellie comes to town, she refused to give away any medication without a prescription. She made an exception only because of Andy and Barney heroic attitude towards her. “I Love Lucy” is mainly about her being hilarious and doing things that are fairly stupid. On the episode, “Lucy gets Ricky on the radio” she was tricked into believing her husband was smart. She signed him up to be host on the show without discussing this with Ricky.
