The Egyptian and Chinese Civilizations The Egyptian and Chinese civilizations were two of the most memorable civilizations in world history. Both of them were able to contribute various accomplishments that created remarkable effects on the current modern civilization. Although the Egyptian and Chinese civilizations were established independently from one another, these civilizations had a lot of similarities in the way that their respective rulers managed their territory as well as the way people lived during that time period. However, both civilizations were also able to establish its own legacy, causing them to have significant differences with one another. These similarities and differences are apparent in their geographies, beliefs about their rulers, religious beliefs, labor organization, trade and economic development. Despite the fact that they were located more than a thousand miles away from each other, they were both near a river. This is because they had built numerous temples and pyramids that honor their pharaoh in the same manner as the way they honor their numerous gods. On the other hand, leadership is a key feature of the Chinese civilization. Chinese emperors rule due to the mandate of heaven. It is the belief that their emperors receive the approval of heaven to rule the whole Chinese territory. As long as there are no catastrophes to the empire, then the emperor does not lose his mandate.
