What Are The Similarities Between Beowulf And Stitch

Every piece of literature includes literary patterns whether noticeable or not. Most modern literature use aspects that derive from older literature pieces. The storyline of all literature show similar patterns even though they are vastly different. Even though Beowulf and Lilo and Stitch were written in completely different eras, they both show similar patterns of literature, such as quests, communion, monsters, and archetypal heroes. In Beowulf, Beowulf travels all the way from Geatland to Herot across seas to help Hrothgar. Beowulf sails to Herot on a quest because he believes he is the only one that is able to destroy Grendel and that it is his destiny to defeat the giant monster. However, in Lilo and Stitch, the quest is taken by Stitch when he is traveling to the island and then crashes on it. Stitch's journey is to help Lilo and Nani. When Stitch escapes from the spaceship that was keeping him hostage, he takes another one and flies down to an island. On the island, he acts like a domestic animal when Lilo finds and keeps Stitch like a dog. The mead hall is a place of gathering for the Danish people in Beowulf. The mead hall is where the townspeople of Herot congregate and celebrate. The mead hall can be described as larger-than-life and wealthy where everyone is celebrating and enjoying themselves. When he first discovered Grendel was attacking Herot, Beowulf set out to cross the ocean so save them. Beowulf’s challenges included having to fight Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and the dragon. Beowulf’s supernatural strength and his magical sword helped him defeat an abundance of monsters. At the beginning of Beowulf, Beowulf is recognized as a regular hero, but as the story is coming to an end, Beowulf becomes king in
