Improved Essays
College for me is a new experience, a place where I will gain an education higher than what high school had to offer. Though there was much encouragement from friends and family to take the next step, going to college was ultimately my decision to make. While going through the pros and cons of college the positive attributes of what college had to offer for my future heavily outweighed the positives as my field of study, network administration, requires a bachelor's degree to remain competitive in the job market. College is the way I will be competitive in the job market as well as gain new experience along the way.

I’ve always been a firm believer that college is what you make out of it. Me being 18 and just starting college I finally see how the world really is, it’s as if a cup of hot water had been thrown in my direction randomly, in other words I wasn’t ready. High school was a cake walk for everyone including myself simply because there wasn’t a huge amount of money over your head after you got your diploma. Just the thought of having a debt makes me cringe and it pushes me to use the time and the opportunity I have much smarter. College is one big investment in yourself and it makes me believe that I can accomplish more than I thought I could just a few months ago.…
