D) Today’s group topic focused on drug of choice (abstinence plan). Client reported that his drug of choice is exercising. Client reported that exercising has been tough due to her busy work schedule. Client expressed on her free time she exercises in the home with her husband, if she does not go to the gym. Client process the pros and cons of exercising with the group. Client made a commitment to exercise on her free time.

A) Client was quite during group session. Counselor performed a mood check: client displayed contentment. Counselor observed that client was easily engaged as evidence by client involvement in open ended statements and questions.

P) Client will continue to attend group counseling on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:00pm.
