Back in 1791 Bills of Rights was put into the United States constitution. There was a great reason for this. One was so the people could be secure and know that these rights given would not be taken from them. In the past within the Government there were debates between both the Federalists and Anti- Federalist which one thought there should be a new union with a strong government while the other thought we need the Bill of Rights to protect our rights. One of the U.S House of Representative went and tried to changed some things in the Constitution and at that same time some of the representatives did like the idea because the wording of the Constitution could not be changed. If a person in any way makes false or threats against the government they can be and will be arrested and punished. A right to bear arms is the second amendment (U.S. Const.amend II). which this was given to people for a right so they could own guns and be safe. It is also abused by our own people. Just like anything there are pros and cons. For example some of the pros would include being personally protected, self defense, law, hunting, or even within the military. The good news is not everyone can own a firearm. The law requires people to have a license, which include a background check. That however doesn’t stop criminal activity. Higher crime rates, irresponsible behaviors, and the dangers. About 43 States contain right to bear arms. The third and fourth amendment is to protect people and their property. (U.S. Const. amends.). As an example the third amendment prohibits any solder from living in private homes during the peacetimes of a war without permission of the owner.
