What Are The Pros And Cons Of Being Homeless

Each and everyday the less fortunate are dehumanized and judged severely. They are looked down upon and belittled. These human beings are feared, cursed, ignored, and attacked by society. Everyone has a low point in his or life and need help. The society should be more humane when it comes to those that are experiencing downfalls. No one should have to struggle without any support. The lack of government assistance and aid is setting the homeless up for failure. They are left to fend for themselves in the streets. While protecting themselves they are condemned by the public. Through fear, misunderstanding, lack of compassion, and class status, the poor are marginalized and judged in society. What's makes them different? The poor are viewed as worthless bums due to their living situation. The concept of being homeless has been misconstrued and misunderstood in society. Many feel as if the homeless are lazy, bums, and leeches. These negative connotations have lead to the neglection of the homeless. Due to their lack of appearance, fancy clothes, and, expensive cars the homeless are considered different. They are denied housing, places to dine, and the usage of bathrooms. They are only treated this way because of their situations and status in the society. Since people are so judgemental they enjoy voicing their opinions, not caring if it hurts those around them, especially when it comes to the homeless. People feel comfortable attacking the less fortunate verbally and physically. Society insults the homeless, talks down to them, and even curse them; this is why so many homeless people are vulnerable. Physically, the homeless are attacked by the police and others around them.
