We live in a world full of labels and stereotypes. Though throughout the years we have progressed exponentially, there is still discrimination that is felt towards people of different races. Among these are Hispanics such as myself. Facing the labels and stereotypes assigned by the world to hispanics, grants us a unique sense of determination. Being Hispanic in the United States is much more than an ethnicity and background, it is an identity that helps unify people, and brings perseverance.
Parents generally want their kids to have a better life than they themselves had. I have heard my parents and others around me say this countless times, and it always makes me wonder what life will look like for my own children. It’s almost like a motto
