Ticking. Tapping. Clicking. Typing. Buzzing. Copying. Gossiping. The senses splendor around in various forms creating numerous opportunities of ticks and obsessions. The current deadly addiction that swarms everyone consists of the convenient and accessible device called the cell phone. This device accesses information in a nanosecond, allowing the public to gain or even lose knowledge through the social media. People have recently created obsessions toward the device due to the attractive benefits of the social media causing them to miss simple conversations, however, people don’t realize the negative effects of the social media.
Cell phones are just a blockade from face to face social interaction making people incapable of holding an actual conversation for a few minutes. Cell phones take away special moments because people have to Tweet, Instagram, or Snapchat about what they are doing every second of the day because they need to seem important and social. The social media was specifically made for the younger generation, so political influences use the social media to attract the younger generation to inform them of their viewpoints for election. Politicians understand that if they receive majority of the votes from minorities and the younger generation, that they will win the election, however, the minorities are occupied with work so voting won’t be an option and the younger generation simply do not take enough interest to vote.
