Cell phones are just a blockade from face to face social interaction making people incapable of holding an actual conversation for a few minutes. With the structure and principles of American democracy, political participation is crucial for withstanding the government and to maintain order. The social media was specifically made for the younger generation, so political influences use the social media to attract the younger generation to inform them of their viewpoints for election. Politicians understand that if they receive majority of the votes from minorities and the younger generation, that they will win the election, however, the minorities are occupied with work so voting won’t be an option and the younger generation simply do not take enough interest to vote.
