Adoption: The Negative Effects Of Abortion

Improved Essays
People have known about abortion for many years. Some might be against it while others might believe it is for the better of the mother. For those who do not know what abortion is, it is the process where a person terminates a baby that is in the womb and usually occurs within the first 28 weeks. Teenagers who have had sex and accidently gotten pregnant or women who may die during childbirth normally have abortions. There are some though, that do it just so they do not have to take responsibility. Considering the negative effects of abortion, it should be the last resort because of mental health issues and moral implications, your religion and the fact that people can adopt.

It is scientifically proven that the fetus can feel pain within 20 weeks of conception and its excrutiating ("Babies Feel Pain."). In ultra sounds you can see a baby react to light touch and sound so why would they not feel the pain of an abortion. It’s inhumane people will panic about dogs getting abused, but no one bats an eye at someone who does an abortion like its no big deal that they are hurt but watch out that dog is hurt. I it is proven also that doctors have seen tiny babies coming out of the womb, flinch and try to get away from the doctor because he might have a sharp object, and they also recoil from incisions in them (“Babies Feel Pain”). Doctor Steven Calvin states, “The neutral pathways are present for pain to be experienced quite early by unborn babies” (qtd. In “Babies”). From this statement by Dr. Calvin people can see that abortion truly is just as bad as abuse and its insane that it is legal to kill a baby but its illegal to kill a man. The way abortion is dead in itself just sounds terribly painful, one way abortion is done is called “Dilation and Evacuation”. In this procedure they use very sharp tools to grab, twist and tear the babies body into tiny little pieces that have been removed from the womb (“Babies”). It is also proven that babies have a higher power on all …show more content…
Adoption is when you give your child up to another family, whether you know the family or not, and you do it because either you do not want to have a child because it was an accident, you can not afford to have a child, or you are not fit to be a parent. There a lot of people who cannot have kids just due to they are either incapable of having a kid or they have not found the person they want to have a kid with. It is a very healthy alternative to having an abortion. Also people are not killing babies either. Just because you do not want your kid does not mean that no one wants it. Chances are there is someone you know who actually is trying to adopt. If you are worried due to you not having the finances to pay for a child you do not have to worry about that either because it does not cost a dime to adopt a kid, or to put your child up for adoption. If you do decide to give your child to a family member you can still be in your child’s life. According to a website there are 500,000 women who are waiting to adopt

Federal Government Should Outlaw Late-Term Abortion In 2013, reporter Sarah Terzo from Live Action News in Virginia indicated that late-term abortion clinic shoots babies through the heart with poison in order to kill them. This example is a good reason to why the federal government should be outlawing late-term abortion. No matter what situation the mother and fetus are in, every fetus should have the right to live a meaningful life. However, the federal government should outlaw abortion after the first trimester because many of the practices are inhumane, all fetuses should have the right to live, and the ways abortion can cause risks for the women. “Surgeons entering the womb to perform corrective procedures on tiny unborn babies have seen those babies flinch, jerk and recoil from sharp objects and incisions” (Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life). An abortion procedure involves an abortionist reaching into the mother’s womb with a clamp and pulling out parts of the child with force. This procedure violently tears a preborn child apart, limb from torso, until the child bleeds to death in utero. After the arms and legs are torn off, the abortionist then continues to the brain where he/she takes the clamp and crushes down on the head until they see pure white gelatinous material issue from the cervix. The Flaws of Abortion The controversy continues to cause a divide between pro-life and pro-choice on the topic of abortion after the US Supreme Court’s decision in 1973 in the case of Roe v. Wade. Pro-choice believes that abortion should be a right with no limitations. They also believe that the rights installed in the Declaration of Independence cannot be claimed for an unborn child.…

Abortion In our society we have become stupendously crazed with rights, as well as being politically correct. Whether talking about domestic pets or wild animals, there will be a tremendous out cry if they are hurt or treated badly. Even with all of this the unborn child is not protected. Instead of looking at abortion as the solution for an unwanted pregnancy, I believe a person should be looking for the solution to abortion.…

I believe adoption is a good solution to that problem. Many people would disagree, saying that it would be too hard on the mother to carry the child and then give it up, but I believe that if a woman is willing to take the life of her unborn child then it shouldn’t be even more difficult for her to put her baby up for adoption. There are many couples in the world that feel incomplete because of the inability to get pregnant, and adoption is a way that these couples can finally have the family that they’ve always wanted. When seeking an abortion woman should take the option of adoption into consideration and allow someone else to give their child the love and happy life that they could not…

Abortion is a highly debated topic in the United States ever since dealers sold substances promising to end the pregnancies as early as 1820. The first laws against abortion gave the mother a felony or a misdemeanor and it wasn't until 1973 when the supreme court made laws that forbid abortion unconstitutional. The court also since then has established that States cannot make laws against abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy, but could make regulations related to women’s health in the second trimester, and that states could make abortions illegal in the third trimester except when necessary to save the life of the mother. Ever since then states have made laws prohibiting abortion for one reason or another. One common place for a specific week of abortion is 20 weeks.…

For example, many believe it would be fine if abortion was legal only for women who are carrying a child conceived from rape. The others who plan to abort a fetus are given the alternative to have the child and put it up for adoption. There are organizations like the Perfect Choice Adoption who offer help to a woman if she chooses adoption over abortion. The help includes free housing during the adoption, help paying bills, the choice on what type of adoption it may be (open, closed, or mixed), and the choosing of the adopting family (Perfect Choice Adoption). Another type of alternative is a nonsurgical abortion, this is done by a drug given to the woman to stop the hormones followed by another drug taken by mouth or inserted vaginally that causes the uterus to contract and expel both the fetus and placenta (Minnesota).…

Abortion has been one of the main topics in America to produce a plethora of controversy, marking the collision of two values: pro-life and pro-choice. While we know that each side produces a wide variety of points as to why each group believes what they do, we still must be omniscient about the life of the child. Someone who is pro-choice would argue that the woman has the right to her own body and what happens to it; however, taking the side of pro-choice disregards the child’s life. This seems like complete balderdash to me, almost to be noted ignorant. Abortion is wrong to me because it is considered murder, it causes psychological and emotional trauma to the mother, and it teaches people to ignore responsibility.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…
