Adoption: The Negative Effects Of Abortion

People have known about abortion for many years. Some might be against it while others might believe it is for the better of the mother. For those who do not know what abortion is, it is the process where a person terminates a baby that is in the womb and usually occurs within the first 28 weeks. Teenagers who have had sex and accidently gotten pregnant or women who may die during childbirth normally have abortions. There are some though, that do it just so they do not have to take responsibility. Considering the negative effects of abortion, it should be the last resort because of mental health issues and moral implications, your religion and the fact that people can adopt.

It is scientifically proven that the fetus can feel pain within 20 weeks of conception and its excrutiating ("Babies Feel Pain."). In ultra sounds you can see a baby react to light touch and sound so why would they not feel the pain of an abortion. It’s inhumane people will panic about dogs getting abused, but no one bats an eye at someone who does an abortion like its no big deal that they are hurt but watch out that dog is hurt. I it is proven also that doctors have seen tiny babies coming out of the womb, flinch and try to get away from the doctor because he might have a sharp object, and they also recoil from incisions in them (“Babies Feel Pain”). Doctor Steven Calvin states, “The neutral pathways are present for pain to be experienced quite early by unborn babies” (qtd. In “Babies”). From this statement by Dr. Calvin people can see that abortion truly is just as bad as abuse and its insane that it is legal to kill a baby but its illegal to kill a man. The way abortion is dead in itself just sounds terribly painful, one way abortion is done is called “Dilation and Evacuation”. In this procedure they use very sharp tools to grab, twist and tear the babies body into tiny little pieces that have been removed from the womb (“Babies”). Adoption is when you give your child up to another family, whether you know the family or not, and you do it because either you do not want to have a child because it was an accident, you can not afford to have a child, or you are not fit to be a parent. There a lot of people who cannot have kids just due to they are either incapable of having a kid or they have not found the person they want to have a kid with. It is a very healthy alternative to having an abortion. Also people are not killing babies either. Just because you do not want your kid does not mean that no one wants it. Chances are there is someone you know who actually is trying to adopt. If you are worried due to you not having the finances to pay for a child you do not have to worry about that either because it does not cost a dime to adopt a kid, or to put your child up for adoption. If you do decide to give your child to a family member you can still be in your child’s life. According to a website there are 500,000 women who are waiting to adopt

Abortion does have alternatives such as adoption but some women cannot go through the nine months of pregnancy without being attached to the fetus and may recant her adoption agreement. Since a cleft lip does not affect the wellbeing of the mother any government aid should be provided because it is solely a preference decision. Some abortions may be necessary because of specific conditions, but because of a baby not meeting the desired checklist, should not be allowed to receive government aid on an abortion because it is a decision that was made because the parents would not be happy with the child they would have…

But many relationships with couples or married couples last very short after the abortion. This shows that abortion doesn’t only affect the woman but affects everyone around her as well. In Steven Ertelt’s article, Study: Abortions Causes Future Relationship Problems, More Domestic Violence, states that abortions in current relationships cause fighting when wanting a child in the future and even domestic violence. Sometimes the partner would convince the women to have an abortion because he/she doesn’t want one but I feel that it’s incorrect that he or she decided to abort the child. For this reason, it doesn’t take one person to get pregnant, and they should know if they don’t want a child they need to use protection.…

Being pro-choice does not mean you support murder. It’s supporting the mother and father’s choice of wanting a better life for the unborn child. It’s us understanding if a young girl won’t be able to raise a child because she was raped. It’s not meaning we want a family or woman to go through that loss, it’s that they support their decision with understandable reasons. Pro-choice isn’t supporting promiscuous women frequently getting abortions because they don’t practice safe sex.…

I would inform her on her options and I would support her in what she chooses except abortion I would be against that one hundred percent. I would not kick her out or be irrational about the situation because I understand thing happen and we don’t think before we act. I think a lot of parents overreact and it causes the teen to shut down and not respond to that parent. I hear a lot of parents tell their teens ‘if you come home pregnant you better find somewhere else to live.’ In my opinion that is a little out of hand.…

We as people don 't understand what that baby feels or how anyone feels due abortion. We could change that though if we make abortion illegal then no one has to go through the pain of making a hard decision and killing their baby because they can 't take care of them or don 't want to burden themselves. We have other options. If abortion was illegal it would stop protest and increase population. Abortion needs to come illegal because it would help just more than the women not having so many medical problems it could help people that want kids and can 't have them.…
