Beethoven's childhood was troublesome, his father was an excessive drinker who was merely too drunk to appreciate Beethoven. However, Ludwig adored his mother, but the father's actions were left unchanged. Therefore, Beethoven's home was unpleasant. Ludwig's talent rooted from his grandfather, yet he remained under appreciated by his own father. By age of twelve Ludwig was already composing music of his own; Christian Gottlob Neefe was the teacher that inspired him. Shortly after, Ludwig’s talent became monetarily beneficial. He then moved out of his unhappy home and settled in a home of friends where he would be cared for and understood.
