. As we mature in our faith, we remain surrounded by God’s sanctifying grace and blessed recipients of God’s love. God’s sanctifying grace moves us forward in our journey of service and love of God. It creates in us a maturity of faith, love and service. God remains in covenant with us, never leaving us, always enabling us to grow in our life-long journey of faith.

Micah 6:8- “and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” combined with Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” are the basis of what a Christian life looks like to me. A follower of Jesus does justice. We work for full inclusion and justice for the marginalized in this world. That can mean helping on a one-to-one basis as well as changing unjust structures and systems of the world. Justice must be fueled by the love found in Jesus and a kindness and respect for every human and creature on this planet. It seems that walking humbly with our Lord is a tenet many of us as Christians have forgotten. We must approach doctrine with humility, realizing “For now we see in a mirror, dimly,* but then we will see face to face.” (I Corinth. 13:12). At our very best we…
