This is the other side of the globalization coin. Globalization is also an opportunity for many to line their pockets, fleecing many donators. Haiti's Prime Minister, Jean-Max Bellerive, in 2011, stated that the Red Cross' claim of helping 4.5 million people, when the country's total population is only 10 million, was not realistic and "it's not possible" (Elliott & Sullivan, 2015). Conversely, globalization has brought together the idea of small groups of people to do great things. For instance, Tevel b’Tzedek, an organization to help Israelis volunteer for 30-day jaunts, has been helping in Nepal for decades. One of the first volunteers and now a recruiter, Shira Langer stated that she doesn't care where the volunteers come from, but "what matters, besides basic cultural sensitivities and an interest in getting involved in aid, is an ability…to take on responsibility and work as part of a community" (Harman, 2015).
