What Are The Dog Enrichment Needs

ENRICHMENT NEEDS:
Social:
Early socialisation is so important for any dog to build confidence and experience different dog and environments. Good ideas for socialisation are walking around the neighbourhood, dog parks, or maybe a playdate with a family or friends dog/s.
Environmental:
By familiarising your dog with many different environments, it gives them a sense of adventure and crushes any boredom they may be feeling from a normal daily routine. Ideas include a daytrip to a dam/pond/beach or shell pool, agility courses (tunnels, ramps, etc.), camping/hiking and many more.
Nutritional:
This form of enrichment is so important because it focuses on health. It assists in making sure that a dog is maintaining weight, and creating a healthy relationship with food as the dog sees it as a reward. Examples include food puzzle toys, treat scavenger hunts and icy poles.

If the owner does not consider their dog’s psychological wellbeing, the dog can become depressed, bored and eventually isolated. To keep from this, owners should try any form of training they wish, this could be simple commands all the way to agility training.
