What Are The Differences In African American Culture

Africa’s slave trade existed for thousands of years before the “New World” was found by Christopher Columbus. Understanding how African culture worked for thousands of years would show other cultures how respected the process was. The New World immigrants took advantage over this process, and African Kings traded their slaves with America, resulting in a continuous process of slave trade. This culture still exists among African Americans, because to some degree, traits and beliefs are passed down from generation to generation. Eventually African American slaves were freed, but what can they do or where could they go? Together they came, and together they went. According to Wallace, this creates civil unrest and extreme prejudices that are apparent today (pg. 8). Should we be working on our manifestation by equalizing or creating objectives that will result in singularity amongst the self-evident social biases among cultures? We should be educating amongst ourselves to understand how differences cannot be ignored if they are the base of a culture’s being. The generations before us have built our beliefs to where they are today. We should discard all of these biased viewpoints and create our own. In doing this, it would be parallel to how society should’ve acted if it learned thousands of years ago to treat each other. We have seen within the previous century to what happens when one race wants to eliminate another. Kiuchi identifies how people are moved by their beliefs. It is identified as one of the strongest forces that drive humans (par. 8). Blending beliefs when some religions don’t accept the views of others create conflict. America treating cultures like they are all equal and need to get along won’t work. Would you want to be in the blender when it turns
