Athletes attending colleges and universities within the U.S. are governed by rules and policies determined by the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As the world’s largest collegiate athletic association, the NCAA is divided into three divisions: Division I, Division II, and Division III. Under NCAA rules, Division III cannot provide scholarships to their athletes.
Most colleges and universities offer sporting opportunities for its students. Athletes must have excellent time management skills in order to schedule time to practice and time to study during his or her day. This prepares her for a future career in business.
