CUSTOMS OF THE BLACKS
EXPLANATION
The customs of the blacks is the habitual practice, the usual way of acting in a given circumstances that the blacks must pass in their lives. They are based on believes and rules of their cultures. One of those habits is initiation which I’ll be discussing throughout my assignment.
INITIATION
It’s a school in the mountains, a cultural practice that marks the transformation of young boys and girls to adulthood. Boys initiation involves circumcision. After noticing that a time for a prince or princess to go to initiation school has arrived, an initiation leader notifies the royal family and asks for a wood on fire from the royal house. The wood must arrive at the place of initiation without the light dying.
