His knowledge was useful in developing concepts to construct growth in not only culture, but also in the government and religion. By the age of twenty, Louis was ruling the country on his own with only his ideas to progress the nation. He was known for making quick, well-rounded decisions that many people in the government have never witnessed before. An example of Louis’s judgement having an effect on the government was that he made the decision to rule without a Chief Minister. When this decision was made the people of France were skeptical, they believed this was a selfish move on his part. He was a bit harsh to the people and bias towards himself. Although, he lacked some respectful characteristics, he did do a great deal for the community. While he was in reign positive changes in France were constructed, such as expanding the efficiency of the government and military, centralizing the country, tightening control of his nation and overall developing a united country.
