The African slave trade disrupted the way of African marriage by having Africans taken away from their homes and family and sent somewhere else forced to do work for other people. Men, women and children people of all ages where taken into slave, women and children were taken the most. They were used to clear lands and prepared them for growing corps. It was said that woman had brought respect, order, socialism and security as they age. Because of this men were unable to access women get married and have children. Men who reach maturity and develop healthy sperm had nowhere to put them and females still fertilizes had no way of getting pregnant.
