World War one also known as the “Great War” was a huge event in our history. Although it had many casualties it also had a significant outcome. World War I is important to study for the following reasons: the causes of the war, the major battles and countries, weapons and gadgets, and the effects of war.
There were a few causes of the first world war. One of those causes was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand at Sarajevo on 28 June 1914. Archduke traveled to Sarajevo to inspect the imperial armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908. The annexation had angered Serbian nationalists, who believed the territories should be part of Serbia. The angry nationalists had made up a plan to kill Archduke during his visit. Another cause of the war was a rivalry between great powers.

It also allows them to pick a target for their snipers. Even though this gadget was handy, it was not assigned to the soldiers. If they needed it, they would have to buy it for themselves. Another crafty gadget was overshoes. Overshoes were used by spies to cover their tracks. They had laces that tied to the souls of their boots and on the bottom was the print of a barefoot.
