The American Revolutionary War was started in 1775 and ended in 1783. The war was started because of tension building up between Great Britain, 13 North American territories, and the colonial government. For more than 10 years before the Revolutionary War, pressure has been rising between colonist and British authorities. British have attempted to get money by demanding the colonist called the Stamp Act of 1763, Townshend Tariffs of 1767, and the Tea Act of 1773.Colonials safety led to death in 1770 when British troopers opened fire on a mass of people, killing 5 of the men.
