During the mid and late 1700’s Britain had full sovereignty of the North American colonies. Since Britain controlled them , the colonies did began to prosper but they noticed that Britain was holding them down to their full potential of prosperity with these restrictions and limitations that were laid out to them. The colonies weren’t able to establish an independent nation that they desired and decided to rebel against Britain. These rebellions were all started from economics , politics, and social controversies , these conflicts all equally led to the idea of independence thus bringing what is known as the American Revolution. After the Boston Massacre, it caused many social controversies since it wasn’t so much about getting independence anymore but to actually cause problems with one another just to make matters even worse and Britain decided to be even more harsh than before. The “America in Flames” , was created in 1775 and this drawing shows that Britain is basically being so mean to America by throwing fire and by giving them all these acts that were caused from the Boston Massacre and it even shows how its weakening America. Therefore these social controversies were actually planned to diminish each other and it became to be a constant cycle which little by little broke each other. The Son’s of Liberty were a group of colonists that planned to work together to do whatever it takes to protect their rights and to make sure others are doing so , this group made sure that everyone was also helping one another to go against Britain. The purpose for (Document C) was to promote the people to join the Son’s of Liberty since many people from different classes all joined together as one to go against Parliament's rule. This reveals that social controversies did lead to conflicts because it made the colonists to come up with a group of their own to go against Parliament to defend their
