Stress is a main factor in my life, constantly. You or others may think that it is normal and it happens to everyone because it is a part of life to be stressed. I happen to think otherwise. Stress causes a lot of problems in my life when it comes to work, school, family and friends because all of those I just named off, are the cause of my stress, severe anxiety and severe depression. It causes me to have major sleep deprivation, emotional breakdowns, panic attacks, and just crying all the time to where I’m too physically exhausted to get out of bed and hang out with my friends from time to time. I smoke to help cope with my stress and everything else. I barely see my parents, and if I do, it will be a couple hours maybe every other day of the week and then almost every week, they leave and go out of state or even just out of town and it’s almost like I live by myself half the time and it’s a good yet weird feeling; If you get where I am coming from. According to “The effects of sleep deprivation on the body” by Ann Pietrangelo, it states that hallucination, yawning, accidental death, depression, etc. This article also states “According to Harvard Medical School, studies show that sleeping less than five hours a night increases the risk of death from all causes by about 15 percent.” That may not seem like a lot or even a big enough number for it to “matter” but that’s a very decent number when you really think about how many people in this world are diagnosed with a mental illness everyday by a specialist, whether its stress, or insomnia, or bipolar, generalized anxiety, and so on. Some people have different beliefs and ideas on how to treat, cure, or simply just push aside to get through another day. We all have our different ways of dealing with personal problems; some good and some not so well. Not just for you but for your family, friends, and others around you who it may or may not
