Essay On Nutritious School Lunches

When one thinks of the the public education system and the schools a parents send their child too, there are certain expectations a parent hopes for their child to get out of being in school. Certain expectations from the parents probably being a properly balanced education, forming friendships and social circles. One thing though that has been failed to be provided by the public education system and only until recently been a concern and expectations by parents nationally is an adequate, nutritious school lunch. There are many families that rely on their child to eat what the school provides. An article by Business Insider found that over 30 million children in the United States are dependent on eating the lunches they get at their school cafeteria. This may be that either a child comes from a low income families or their parents simply don’t have the time to pack them a proper lunch. When I was a kid I occasionally had to eat a school lunch because both my parents worked full time so being able to have a packed homemade lunch to go daily was not easy to have.These days parents are very much concerned about not just children being fed in schools but also what exactly are the type of meals being provided to them.
