What Are The Arguments Against Abortion Persuasive Essay

Decent Essays
Although abortion is a very disputable topic it will end on killing an innocent child. I believe that you shouldn't kill a child because you decide not to keep it, you shouldn't kill a fetus. Other people say that we should support abortion because they’re either too young, raped etc. But even though they support it I strongly disagree with abortion, there other ways to deal with the situation like adoption.

Why would you kill a child just because you don’t desire it? Since the legalization of abortion in 1973, over 57 million unborn children have been killed. By killing a child it’s considered murder. If a woman aborts when she is 8 weeks + pregnant the baby will feel pain.Let’s say if you scrape your leg or cut it open it’ll hurt right?

Shyann Metcalf American Government Taking Sides 29 April, 2016 There had always been controversy on the topic of restricting abortion. Those that are pro-life say that life begins at conception and that they law must uphold and enforce this concept because these unborn children don’t have a voice. While those that are pro-choice argue that life doesn’t begin at until the fetus is born because it cannot survive without the mother and is therefore not viable. In Marco Rubio’s speech at the Susan B. Anthony List Campaign for Life Gala, he explains why abortion can only harm America morally, economically, and politically. While Wendy Davis, a Texas Representative explains why abortion can help those who don’t have the financial stability to…

The big question is should we allow women to terminate their pregnancy and get an abortion? The answer is yes it should be allowed, because women have their reasonings for terminating the pregnancy (ranging from pregnancy by rape to not being able to support themselves and a child). It can be a controversial topic when it comes to when the woman wants to have the abortion, because when the woman reaches the 3rd week of her pregnancy the fetus begins developing and can feel what is being done to them. People believe that this is why they should ban abortion, but that’s not the case. Some women won’t know that they’re pregnant until after the 3 week mark and when they start suffering from pregnancy tendencies and habits.…

Abortion is one of the most disputed topics in the social and political areas today. The two sides for or against are for whether the unborn fetus is taken as a human yet or not. There may be disputes when the child is still a small egg, but does the morality change when it starts to count as a late abortion? That’s when we begin to question our true values. Because of life and death situations, late abortions should be an option for the birth mother.…

There’s a fire and you have to choose who to save. Do you save a five-year-old child crying or a frozen container labeled "1000 Viable Human Embryos. " You know you can only grab one, before you succumb to smoke inhalation and die, saving no one. Do you save the child or save the thousand embryos? People argue most would save the child; others say the embryos.…

“When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we can safely assume that there is something wrong in society so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged.” Said by Mattie Brinkerhoff. Abortion is increasing tremendously. There are 40-50 million abortions that occur per year, that means there are 125,000 unborn babies that die every day. In fact, Frank Pavone states that “If we took a moment of silence for each person lost to abortion we would be silent for over 100 years.”…

Murder is taken very seriously in our country, therefore it is sad to think that killing an unborn child is considered legal. “ In reality outlawing abortion would not be giving unborn children more rights, it would simply gain for them the one most fundamental right that no one can live without, the right to life” (Thompson.) Everyone in the world deserves the right to live, why can a fetus not gain that right too? Young women falling for the abortion lies are often convinced that because the baby is in their body it is their decision whether to abort or not. Though the fetus may depend on a woman's body to thrive, a fetus is an independent person who should be granted rights to live.…

As any social issue, abortions are one of the many topics that everyone seems to have an opinion on. According to the 2012 Merriam-Webster dictionary, an abortion is, “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus as a spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation--miscarriage, the induced expulsion of a human fetus, or the expulsion of a fetus by a domestic animal often due to infection at any time before completion of pregnancy.” (Elliot) Abortions; like every controversial issue, will most likely never be agreed upon by the human race. In the midst of the controversy, two groups have arose.…

I.Introduction The topic of abortion is currently one of the most controversial issues. The 1973 supreme court ruling of Roe v. Wade allowed for women to legally obtain abortions throughout their entire pregnancy, however, conditions were put into place that allowed for states to regulate abortions during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The right to have an abortion is protected under the constitution’s 14th amendment which protects the basic rights of citizens. This ruling has left our country divided in half by those who are for and against abortion. Those who oppose Roe v. Wade are referred to as pro-life and those in agreement are pro-choice.…

Paul Jr., an abortionist in the early 1970’s, stated as he was performing an abortion, “ And when I found the head of the baby, I looked squarely into the face of another human being-a human being that I’d just killed (“The Ex-Abortionist”). A lot of people have abortions because they think they’re not ready to raise a child yet. In many cases, this may be true, but morally, having a child and putting it up for adoption and actually giving it a chance at life is a lot better than just killing it. In another case, if the mother’s life is at stake, an abortion may be necessary. Then someone has to make the choice of keeping the baby alive, or the…

Women’s health can be affected if she is not able to have one, the fetus can’t feel pain, and overall it should be the woman’s choice. To begin with, fetuses aren’t able to feel pain during the time abortions are performed. Pain doesn’t occur for fetuses until the 29th or 30th week of being in the mother’s womb. Abortions occurring that far into the pregnancy are rare and sometimes illegal (“Should Abortion Be Legal?”). Dr. Anne Davis, an OB-GYN and abortion provider, says, “... Neurons that carry pain signals aren’t developed until the third trimester of pregnancy.”…

Abortion should be a part of a country’s contraception policy. People should plan their families and society must allow women to end unwanted pregnancies in order to deal with failures of birth control, cases of rape and cases of incest. Abortion should be legalized but discouraged. Legal, because it is a choice; discouraged because there are other more effective ways to prevent pregnancy than abortion. Abortion is all about allowing a woman to make her own decisions, in relation to her age, financial stability, relationship stability, and mental and physical capabilities.…
