What Are Strengths And Weaknesses

Strengths When I received my personality test results I did notice that most of the strengths it had me under were a correct fit for me as of right now. For starters I do feel as if I’m supportive. Anytime I have a friend who is going through something, a family member that is upset, or even someone I hardly know that seems to be hitting a rough patch in their life I feel that I should be there for that person. Next the test results showed that I am reliable. I know if someone is counting on me to take care of something for them then I make sure it gets taken care of. I am imaginative and observant as well, because I have different ways of looking at certain situations. One weakness I am categorized under would be that I am humble and shy. I would have to completely agree with this weakness. Being humble and shy has been a part of who I am ever since I was a young kid. Another weakness I have was that I take things too personally. Next the results showed that I repress my feelings and overload myself. Both of these weakness were accurate as well. There are times in my life where I begin to overload myself and I keep things bottled up. The last two weakness the results showed were that I am reluctant to change and too altruistic. I do agree with the fact that I am too altruistic, although I disagree that I am reluctant to change. In the next 5 years I plan to work on all of these weaknesses. I would mainly want to work on my humbleness and shyness because that is something that has always bothered me about myself. I want to become more outgoing and try not being as shy around people I don’t know. I also want to work on the fact that I take things too personally, it is something I have done a lot and it only leads to more problems. With that being said, I was completely shocked when I saw the results of suggested career paths that I should follow that fit my personality. The results stated that I should look into elementary teaching, which is exactly what I want. The results for the career section couldn’t be any more spot on. The results showed that we tend to help people whenever they may need help, and overall we do it because we enjoy it. I find this very accurate about me, I’ve always been there to help anyone who has needed help, and I’ve always been the one giving people advice when they may desperately need it. That feeling of knowing that I could’ve made someone’s day by just helping them, truly makes me happy. Other career paths it suggested were natural counselors, nurses, and social workers. Almost all of these career paths have been an option for me. In 5 years I’m hoping to still be in school, leaving only one more year left to achieve my master’s degree in elementary education. Following that, within the next 10 years I hope to be in a classroom at this time teaching several young children the many school subjects, and watching them grow educationally, and also as an
