1. Varner and Beamer (2005) divide stereotypes into two categories consist of projected cognitive similarity and out-group homogeneity effect. Projected cognitive similarity is when someone know someone else‘s perceptions, judgements, attitudes, and values because of assumption that they all are similar. And the out-group homogeneity effect is the tendency to think that members of the groups are all the same.

3. Female are tend to be judicious and sensitive communal to others’ feelings because they have communal character. Also, because female are held to a higher standard of niceness than male, people stereotype women as nicer than men (Glick & Fiske, 1999; Rudman & Glick, 1999; Diekman & Eagly, 2000). In contrast, (Rudman & Glick, 1999) assumed that male workers or job applicants should be perceived as nicer than female workers or job applicants, because of greater prescriptions for female, compared with male.
