Oliver impacted the life of Vincent more than Vincent wanted to allow him to. Oliver went out of his way to learn about Vincent’s life. In his speech he demonstrated that someone whom he thought was a saint had many flaws. But as humans we are full of flaws. Above all of Vincent’s flaws there was a man who had gone through many things. He was a war veteran who had seen the most horrifying things anyone can see. After his wife Sandy got sick he could no longer take care of her. Once she started suffering from memory lose she completely forgot who Vincent was.
